I decided to create a “mini-planet” so that we can keep track of all blogs within the blogs.safira.pt community.

Okay, new plugins are nice, but even better would be a tutorial on how to enable and configure them, right?

To activate or deactivate a plugin you just need to logon and go to your dashboard, click on plugins and then click activate or deactivate as you wish on the listed plugins:

Some plugins have advanced options you can set, if that’s the case there’s a very good possibility that you do that on the Options menu and then pick the plugin you want to configure on the bar lower to the main menu:

Easytube - so that you can get videos from youtube directly on the post body

Sociable - you have little links under your posts where people can directly publish your post on del.icio.us, digg, etc… (check the end of this post!)

Subscribe to Comments - so that people who comment get a “head’s up” when new comment’s are added (good for lively discussions)

yaCaptcha - if your blog does not require moderation this will keep the pesky spam bots away.

SEO Pack - don’t worry much about this one, it’s just to clear the way for google to index our blogs efficiently and give us a better page rank.

All the plugins can be activated or deactivated on the Plugins page on your dashboard.
